Work with your dispersion pattern

Your “dispersion pattern” is the area that you usually land the ball. We determine this pattern for each club in your bag by taking an average distance spread across several shots. With this knowledge, club selection and game management become a lot easier.

If you play driver into a fairway that’s narrower than your dispersion pattern, your approach could easily be from the rough. In this case, playing a club with a tighter dispersion – like a hybrid – will make your approach a bit longer, but at least it’ll be from the fairway.

This week’s benchmark

Track the number of fairways you hit from the tee.

If you hit less than half of the fairways over an 18-hole round, let’s have a look at your driver dispersion. If you’ve completed last week’s benchmark and haven’t shared your score, you can do so now.
