Beware of sucker flags
A flag towards the front right may be tempting. But if it’s on a downward slope or behind a deep greenside bunker, it’s not worth risking an extremely difficult up and down.
There’s a reason bunkers or water are often front right and left of the green; course designers know this is where recreational golfers usually miss.
