Perfect posture

The Titleist Performance Institute video below shows the disassociation plank, a great exercise for improving posture and core stability that you can even practice at home. It allows for the disassociation of your upper body from your lower body – important for a stronger back and core, helping you achieve perfect posture and the perfect swing.

Good posture helps you stay balanced, keeps your swing on plane and helps you rotate correctly. But you can’t have a good posture without a strong core. A stronger core helps you reduce pressure from rotational force, while improving stability and control through your swing. It also helps reduce pressure on your lower spine and pelvis, reducing risk of injury.
