Mastering par 3s
Lags shouldn’t be a drag

Attacking the flag on par 3s to try and give yourself a shorter putt often leads to trouble. A smarter approach is to go for the fattest part of the green and plan for two putts. This approach is safer, but for you to be successful, you’ll need a reliable lag putting technique.

Assess your lag putting

Find ten different 25-foot putt locations on a practice green to the same hole. If more than half of your putts stop outside 2-feet, we’ve got an opportunity to transform your putting.

When you know you can two-putt from anywhere on the green, it removes a lot pressure from your tee shot on a par 3.

Learn to love the lag

Putting is important on every hole, but it’s especially useful on your journey to mastering par 3s. If you want to improve your putting performance, please let us know.
