Keep it together

Mobility in your shoulders and thoracic spine, as well as strength in your shoulders and core, will help you achieve lower body stability – all needed for the perfect pivot. The Titleist Performance Institute shows an exercise in the video below that’ll do just that.

When you swing your club, the movement that creates power from your backswing to your downswing, is the pivot. When you turn (pivot) and transfer your weight from back to front, you need to be stable from your legs, glutes, core, all the way through your arms. Regularly doing exercises that strengthen this stability and rotation are essential for your pivot and backswing.
