The Tour average for greens hit in regulation is just under 70%. For mid-handicap amateurs, it’s about 20%. When you’re hitting one out of five greens, being able to get up and down in two shots (scramble) is essential.
Also, the majority of your shots during a round are played from inside 100 yards, making scrambling even more important. If you’re averaging more than two shots to hit the green from inside 100 yards, we’ve got an opportunity.
