Go the distance

The Titleist Performance Institute video below shows an assisted lunge. It’s a great way to strengthen and stretch your hamstrings and protect your back. If you do this regularly, you’ll also develop stability in your glutes and quads – all essential for the perfect swing.

When you have poor posture, your lower back shuts off your core muscles, glutes and hamstrings that are all needed for stability and support, making your swing unstable and your shots inconsistent. In order to get maximum distance when you strike your ball, you need to be mobile. Poor posture creates limited mobility, and you won’t be able to generate the power you need to go the distance.

More than a game

We’re not only concerned about your game, but we’re also concerned about you. When your hamstrings and surrounding muscles are strong, flexible and stable, not only will your game improve, but your life will too.

If you engage in these exercises, you agree that you do so at your own risk and assume all risk of injury to yourself.
