RetailTribe Campaign Overview

Game Management & Shot Selection

The Outcome

Creating playing lessons with a focus on game management.

The Overview

We want your reader to reflect on how they think about shot selection by introducing them to an important input to game management – the cone of misses. The message is that with better game management they can improve their experience out on the course and lower the numbers they write on their scorecard.

The Offers to the Golfer

There is a very simple proposition and offer presented to the golfer each week:

Let us show you how you can lower your score
If you’d like to experience the difference game management can make to your scorecard and handicap, then please join us for an on-course playing lesson. You’ll almost certainly be surprised at how much better your scorecard could be.
CTA Button: [I’d like to experience a playing lesson.]

The Survey

There’s also a survey that asks the golfer ‘why’ they’re out playing golf. That will drive their decision-making out on the course. The survey is intended to make them think more about the experience they want, but everyone who answers is a lead you can use to create playing lessons.

The Campaign Pack

4-Week email conversation, 1 web article that consolidates all 4 email messages, and a social post to drive engagement and sign-ups for your sceduled sessions.

Use the opportunity to create and publish this social post linking to the web article. It will create an exciting feed and allow more golfers to engage with you.

How to make the campaign work

Good

Make sure you’re prepared with a price for your Playing Lesson and respond to each contact you receive.

Better

There’s a ‘survey’ with this campaign asking each golfer what their motivation is when they’re playing. It would be good not just to read each answer, but to respond with something that ‘starts’ a conversation. It might be a lot of work but think of each response as a lead.

Best

On each Playing Lesson set out to help the golfer shoot a low score in that round. Record at least one of the ‘game management insights’ you gave the golfer on your course and publish a short story that heroes the member with that insight included.
