Build your bridge

The Titleist Performance Institute explains the glute bridge with a leg extension in the video below. The exercise is a great way to activate and strengthen your glute muscles, improving your hip extension all while strengthening and stabilizing your core – and you can even practice it at home.

Your glutes are made up of different muscles that work together. One of the biggest, the gluteus maximus, is responsible for internal and external hip rotation. You need this when you swing your club back, down and with your follow through. Your glutes also support your lower back and stabilize your hips and pelvis – all essential for your mobility, power and control. So, your glutes need to be strong.

Work your butt off

Improving your hit action by strengthening your glutes won't only help you add yards, it’ll also increase your accuracy and help you avoid injury. Let’s assess your range of motion with an assessment.

If you engage in these exercises, you agree that you do so at your own risk and assume all risk of injury to yourself.
