Better bend than break

The Titleist Performance Institute video below shows the walking hip stretch. This is a great stretch for opening your hip flexors and improving flexibility – enabling you to get into better positions during each sequence of your swing.

Your hip flexors (together with your glutes) are crucial for stabilizing your spine and pelvis when you swing your club. Your hips also help you keep your swing on plane, generate force and square the clubface for maximum striking power. Without this stability, your ball striking will be inconsistent, and your lower back is at risk of injury.

Be the best you

With the right stretches and exercises, your hip flexors can help you get the most out of your game. Come for a swing assessment to identify what's holding you back from your best golf yet.

If you engage in these exercises, you agree that you do so at your own risk and assume all risk of injury to yourself.
