Stay balanced
A balanced approach

Overcompensating with your swing to try and go the distance will most likely throw off your balance and reduce your impact quality and consistency. Distance comes from control, and control comes from strength.

When you simply try swing harder to hit the ball further, what often happens is that your left arm bends at the elbow, your torso tilts forward, you lose your balance and struggle to make good contact with the ball. Are you trying too hard? Let’s find out.

With better mobility and stability, you’ll be able to get into the positions that enable you to hit the ball further. A great exercise to improve mobility and balance is the Stance Jack. Remember to keep it steady and controlled, this isn’t about speed, it’s about control.
